You are invited to a Public Lecture by Assoc Professor David Neville: Matthew’s Gospel and Peacemaking
Date: Thursday 6 February 7.30pm-9.00pm. (Wine and cheese from 7.00pm.)
Location: Old Bishopsbourne, St Francis College, Milton.
The ACSQ theme for this year is ‘Being Together and Practising Peacemaking’. To mark the theme and because 2020 is liturgically the Year of Matthew, Professor David Neville will give a special lecture on Matthew’s Gospel and Peacemaking.
This is especially pertinent to clergy who will preach from Matthew’s gospel this year.
David lectures in the New Testament for the CSU School of Theology of which St Francis College is a part, and last year taught the ‘Synoptic Gospels’ at SFC. He is the author of several books including The Vehement Jesus: grappling with difficult gospel texts, a study in a vehement, yet non-violent Jesus.
