Responsible Use of the Pointro Campsite and Water Access

At Pointro Campsite, we are committed to preserving the natural environment and maintaining our licence agreement with SEQ Water. To ensure continued access to this beautiful space, we ask all visitors to carefully observe the following guidelines.

Vehicles are strictly prohibited from parking within 20 metres of the water’s edge. Additionally, vehicles must remain on the designated road and are not permitted to drive down to the boat ramp. After launching boats, all vehicles and trailers must be moved back up the hill and parked within the Pointro boundary.

For those setting up marquees or similar structures, please ensure they are positioned at least 6 metres from the water. This buffer helps protect the shoreline and complies with safety and environmental standards.

Boats may be moored during the day, allowing for recreational use and enjoyment of the water. However, all boats must be removed from the water overnight. This is a non-negotiable condition of our licence with SEQ Water.

Please note Lake Maroon does not have any designated swimming area. (See Recreation fact sheet - swimming at Seqwater lakes.pdf)

Please be aware that any breach of these rules may result in fines issued by SEQ Water. These fines will be passed on to the responsible party. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain this space for everyone’s enjoyment and for future use.
