About Spiritual Direction
Welcome to the St Francis Spiritual Direction Formation Program which has recognition from the Australian Ecumenical Council of Spiritual Direction (AECSD).
This initiative of the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland is located on the St Francis Theological College campus at Milton, Brisbane.
The program sits within the Ministry Education Commission, which fosters theological education, lay formation, vocational discernment, and Christian spirituality with children and families.
This ministry is recognised as a charism and call of God. It offers participants an opportunity, with experienced Spiritual Directors, to discern their call and develop their practice in companioning others using the contemplative evocative model of spiritual direction—a model that integrates a contemplative stance in daily life and towards those accompanied in spiritual conversation.
