About

“Trauma is primarily what happens within someone as a result of the difficult or hurtful events that befall them: it is not the event themselves.” (Dr. Gabor Mate)

Facilitator: Jo-anne Brown

This professional development day is an invitation to be informed about trauma and its impacts in order to offer a safe listening space in Spiritual Direction/ Supervision for people who have experienced trauma – for director and directee/supervisee. Directors/Supervisors need to be able accompany trauma safely, with courage and confidence, recognising what is within the scope of practice of Spiritual Direction /Pastoral Supervision and what is not.
